Live News | the VOPAK Project has been put into use
Recently, the good news from the Vopak project site in Panama is that all modules are in good condition, and the design requirements have been met and the project has been put into use.
This project is an important steel structure project for offshore facilities undertaken by SCGSS. It is located in Bahia Las Minas tank farm, Panama Port, Caribbean Sea. The marine terminal is designed to operate with 80,000 DWT and 10,000 DWT vessels, and consists of the following elements. 1, the berthing and mooring structure for receiving product vessels and loading platforms, as well as supporting power supply groups, corridor systems and piping and other loading equipment. 2, a 175-meter trestle to support the product and utility lines between the ship and shore, as well as access for pedestrians and manual trolleys to the loading platform. 3, auxiliary equipment for the rapid release of hooks, fenders, moorings and navigation lights. 4, the cathodic protection system. In 2018, SCGSS undertook the manufacturing, assembly and shipping tasks of the offshore trestle and other facilities of the project. The whole batch of steel structure was loaded and shipped at the end of 2018 and shipped to the location of the project in Panama. After later construction and equipment debugging, it officially began to be put into use at the beginning of this year. This is another successful example of SCGSS in the field of steel structure fabrication for offshore structure. It has strengthened the brand of SCGSS and delivered a successful project to the Caribbean region. Let's continue to look forward to further good feedback from other projects in Central and South America. |
