The third skill competition of the SCGSS finished on December 18, 2019. In addition to the welding, assembly and other types of items in the traditional competitions, and based on the development of overseas markets, painting skill was added in the competition of this year. 95 people participated in this year’s skill competition. After the fierce competition, 10 participants including Tan Yuan and Ge Liangjian won the prizes. The leaders of our company, relevant department directors and awardees attended the closing ceremony of the competition. Zhang Ronghui, general manager, gave a closing speech. The closing ceremony was chaired by Xu Wenmin, chief engineer of our company.
At the meeting, Zhang Ronghui, general manager, thanked the employees who contributed to the company's development with the awardees as their representatives first. Their meticulous and scrupulous attitudes during the work improved the quality of the company's products and established a good market reputation for SCGSS. At the meeting, Mr. Zhang shared with us the positive trends: we have successfully achieved the expected target of the output, profit and other indicators in 2019. In recent years, our company has been committed to exploring new markets and upgrading our product structure to obtain more additional values in the projects. From 2020 to 2021, the self-run projects are in positive trends. At present, the amount of all orders in hand have exceeded 300,000 tons in 2020, 23,000 tons of which are overseas projects. GE, TK, Rio Tinto and other high-quality overseas customers visited our company incessantly. Mr. Zhang joked: "Our company is like a restaurant, and customers’ frequent visits will make our business flourish." New products and overseas projects put forward higher requirements for our capabilities. In 2019, our company invested nearly 40 million yuan to transform the production line, transform the heavy steel workshop into a steel plate beam producing line. The bridge workshop will be completed and used soon, and a new sand-blasting workshop will be built in the future to gradually realize the regionalization, streamlined, automation and intelligence of producing. At the same time, Mr. Zhang asked our employees to continuously improve their professional capabilities and skills to meet the needs of product upgrading and the needs of the marketing development and operations of our company, so that we can get more customers, markets, and orders. When our company gets profit, our employees will "have money in their pockets". He proposed that the bonus of the Skills Competition next year could be increased appropriately to motivate more employees to participate in this event. In the end, Mr. Zhang asked the awardees of the skill competition to actively “promote, help, and bring together”. We should inherit the craftsmanship spirit, take skill competition as an opportunity to form a good atmosphere of learning skills and upgrading ability among front-line employees, and to create more operational experts and industry elites for our company.
